The Work Continues on the Farm!

Updated: Mar 3, 2022

Hello friends! I hope that you all had a peaceful Thanksgiving and are enjoying the Holiday Season!

We are always working around the farm, so please know you are always welcome to pop in and join however works for you, we always appreciate your presence and your help.

Some of our Going-On-Now projects include:

  • Repairing the chicken coop door

  • Transplanting blackberry bushes

  • Fence and fence post repairs & maintenance (rambunctious goats and sheep, you know how it goes. . . .!)

  • Creating a new onion bed

  • Weeding and mulching around the blueberry bushes

  • Prepping and planting in the hoop house (we have hundreds of seedlings that will be producing lovely veggies for us over the winter!)

  • Completing another row of strawberries

  • New barn doors (for the front of the sheep and goat barn)

  • Sprucing up our farm stand for spring

  • Ongoing cleaning / organizing in the pole barn

Volunteer days are Tuesday and Thursday 9:00- noon, though you will find us out there most other days as well. Never hesitate to call or text me (PJ) 336-266-9475 if you'd like to come out another times and I can put you in contact with whoever is around that day!

We welcome all ages and have a place for everyone to contribute!

Tours are available by appointment, give me a call . Tours are a fun way to spend time outdoors and are a great activity for families, friend groups, neighbors, mom's groups, scouts, homeschool groups, etc Tours include meeting the animals, touring our working farm, a forest trek (about 1/2 mile) and seeing all the facilities and hearing about all our projects and areas of community outreach.

We have EGGS! If you would like to purchase farm fresh eggs from our happy flock, send me a message. Chicken eggs are $5/dozen

Purchase of CSA Shares will be open in just a couple weeks- watch for more info!
