About the event
Join us at Spring Forest for a transformative learning experience exploring discipleship, justice, and healing in a land shaped by colonization and hidden histories. This course invites participants into deep reflection and practical learning about how to follow Jesus in ways that foster repair, justice, and right relationship with our neighbors and communities.
Using the book Healing Haunted Histories: A Settler Discipleship of Decolonization by Elaine Enns and Ched Myers as the primary text, the course includes two in-person retreat weekends at Spring Forest along with four online sessions between the retreats. Through teaching, discussion, and shared reflection, participants will deepen their understanding of how histories of colonization and white supremacy continue to shape our communities—and how discipleship can lead toward healing, restoration, and reconciliation.
The course will be facilitated by Steve Taylor and Lynne Blankenship Caldwell, members of the Spring Forest Community.
